The case of a 3-year-old female domestic European cat, with clinical history of anorexia and depression, is presented. When performing an ultrasound, a structure was detected in the middle abdomen, so far without a reference organ, so she underwent exploratory laparotomy with presumptive of textiloma vs. mass in the abdomen. The mass was removed, which involved part of the ureter, in addition, the kidney presented macroscopic changes suggestive of fibrosis, so nephrectomy was performed. Through histopathological evaluation, renal adenocarcinoma is confirmed.
