This paper takes up musical intelligence as an inherent element of the human being, the advantages of its development in the formative processes and its role in everyday life. Thus, this paper goes beyond the old notion of intelligence measured by test, arriving to the theory of multiple intelligences raised by Gardner, in which cognition is constructed from various attributes and not only from those grouped in the tests.

El presente artículo retoma la inteligencia musical como un elemento inherente del ser humano, las ventajas de su desarrollo en los procesos formativos y su papel en la vida cotidiana. En este sentido, se trasciende de la antigua noción de inteligencia medida por test a la teoría de las inteligencias múltiples planteada por Gardner, en la que sé construye la cognición a partir de diversos atributos y no solo de los agrupados en los test.
